Janelle Allen

Beach Bits:

Janelle has competed for five seasons on the AVP tour placing as high as 9th place 2 times.  She competed internationally at FIVB challenger/satellite events in Hong Kong and Poland placing 7th and 2nd.  She was nominated for Rookie of the Year 2006 and Nominated for Paul Mitchell Hot Shot 2010. She is also 2 time US Open Co-Ed Champion with husband Billy Allen.

College: Eastern Washington University

Janelle was a 2 sport athlete in basketball and volleyball at Eastern Washington University. 2001, 2002 Inland Northwest Female Athlete of the Year, 2002 AVCA All -Pacific Region Honorable Mention, 2002 Big Sky Conference MVP, 2002 First Team All-Big Sky, 2002 Sports Illustrated "Face in the Crowd", Eight Time Big SKy Player of the Week.

Personal:

Janelle was born and raised in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho.  She grew up playing multiple sports, eventually earning a basketball scholarship to Eastern Washington.  During the 2008 collegiate volleyball season, Allen acted as the Director of Operations at Auburn University.  She is currently the girls Varsity basketball coach at Pacifica Christian School.  This will tbe her 3rd season as a Sports Shack coach.  She is Married to fellow Sports Shack coach Billy Allen.
