Cory Chandler will be entering his 2nd year with the Sports Shack and 14th year as a coach. Before coming to the Sports Shack, Cory coached at Laguna Beach Volleyball Club for 8 years and 951 Elite for a year. He also coached boys club volleyball and high school during that time. During his coaching time at Laguna Cory also served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Concordia University in Irvine under current UCI head coach and Olympian Paula Weishoff. Cory has coached at various age levels ranging from 14’s to the 18’s age divisions and into college. While at Laguna and 951 Cory’s teams were consistently ranked in the Gold Division placing as high as 1st place in the American division at Junior Olympics and 2nd place finish at Volleyball festival, and while at Concordia he assisted in a National Finals and two Final Fours.

Cory currently is teaches Health at Calabasas High School and is serving as the Head Freshman football coach and this will be his first season as the Head Coach of the Boys Volleyball Program.  He resides in Hermosa Beach, California with his wife Tracy and two dogs Kona and Ty. He also spends a lot of time with his son Brendin who is 10 years old.   Cory and his wife Tracy are expecting a new addition to the family in March 2011.
