Damon Van Leeuwen
Damon enters his third season at the Sports Shack. He has achieved great success at the high school level. He has been an assistant coach on the girls’ team at Windward School for the past 12 years. His teams have consistently ranked in the top ten in the CIF Southern Section and have made the playoffs each season. In four years as a head coach at the high school level, Damon's teams have reached the semifinals three times and won a CIF championship once. Damon has also coached in the boys’ program at Windward as well. In 2004, Damon's boys' team won the Division V championship and Damon was named Division V Coach of the Year.
In his collegiate career, Damon played Division III volleyball at UCSC where he led his team as the setter and captain. In high school, Damon played at perennial powerhouse Palisades High School.
Damon is a Level II certified coach with USA Volleyball.
Damon lives with his wife in Venice.
