The Sports Shack Volleyball Club was established in 1996.  It emerged from Westside Volleyball Club and took on a slightly different direction.  The club has always attracted a high caliber of coaching staff.  We are committed to providing instructional supervision in a disciplined setting, emphasizing athletic fundamentals, skills and techniques in specific training categories.  The Sports Shack Volleyball Club has always encouraged the development of good character, high moral and ethical standards and strong self-esteem.

Each season, the club fields 13 to 14 teams ranging from the 12 and under division to the 18 and under division.  We pride ourselves in having one of the most experienced coaching staff in girl’s volleyball.  Over the years, we have been fortunate to attract college level coaches from several of the Division 1 schools in the area.  Such schools include Pepperdine University, University of Southern California, UCLA and UC Santa Barbara.

During each season, the club continues to rank among the top volleyball clubs not only in California but nationwide.  We continually have teams competing in the top spots at both the year-end Volleyball Festival and Junior Olympics.  The Sports Shack VBC continues to strive to be on the cutting edge of the future direction of women’s volleyball.

As these young people grow to become confident, capable athletic competitors, as well as healthy, wholesome human beings, the mission of The Sports Shack Volleyball Club will have been fully realized
