18-Asics: 3rd place, Jasmine Orozco- All-Tournament team

17-1: 4th place, Camille Coffey- All – Tournament team

Congratulations for the Sports Shack 18-Asics and 17-1  teams for their finishes in the MLK Speak Easy Tournaments Last weekend. It was a great weekend for both teams with tons of volleyball. Both teams were undefeated on Day 1 while playing many different lineups. Both coaching staffs when into the tournament more to experiment and learn about their new teams then solely focus on winning. All players received tons of playing times and both staffs really liked what they saw.

 

17-1’s Coach TG Pierce said “ we were really proud of the entire team and how they worked together with the many different lineups I threw out there this weekend.”

 

18-Asics Coach Tim Jensen was very happy with his teams work ethic on Day 2…” we played  4 matches in a row against the top teams in So Cal with only and hour break to eat and refuel, the team showed grit and determination during a tough stretch of competition, I was very proud of them.”

 

Both teams will be forces to be reckoned with this year on the National scene. Again congratulations to the girls for a fantastic weekend.
